DDK Trio is consisting of three leading figures of the European improvised music scene; it has been premiered at Festival Météo Mulhouse 2014. The trio plays improvised music totally focused on the present moment, a music open to accidents and unexpected situation. Not bounded by any stylistic idiom, the music is generated trough the intensive listening activity of the three musicians and covers a wide dynamic range from silence to eruptive sonic attacks.
Since 2014, the three musicians had the chance to present their work at Météo Festival Mulhouse, Exploratorium Berlin, Music Salon Zagreb, Zavod Sploh Ljubljana, Curva Minore Palermo, Festival Imprudences Paris, Cave12 Genève, Instants Chavirés Paris, DOM Moscow, Theses Festival Kemerovo, Biennale Musica Venice 2020, SuperDeluxe Tokyo and in many more places in Europe, Russia and Japan. In September 2019 they premiered “Biotope” a composition from Jacques Demierre written for the trio and the Ensemble Contrechamps Geneva.
They released the LP “Floating Piece of Space” in 2016 (label cave12) and “Cone of Confusion” in 2018 (label Bruit). In June 2021 DDK trio were granted a recording residency at GMEA Albi (F).
